Video Kingdom is basically what I consider to be the last project of the original groovyfilms vision...that is, using volunteers, cheap cameras, cheap software, complete with a naive/adolescent story, with a "minus" no-budget "budget."

After Karma Rider (my first film endeavor, in 2003, and only full length feature , I naively attempted a second feature, in 2004, entitled The Promise. After filming aproximately 60% of this second feature, I pulled the plug suspecting that I was not quite ready for feature films.

Much of the footage captured for this second feature allowed me to make Video Kingdom, although I incorporated a lot of unused material from other projects as well. Mostly, the footage was captured from 2003-2005 using Super VHS and hi-8 cameras...yes, the antiquated analog stuff.

I would have released the film in the summer of 2005 but for the fact that my antiquated and insufficient PC computer began having problems, and several projects became stuck. A recent visitation from the Geek Squad has allowed me to offer Video Kingdom to you through the Internet. I hope you dig it!
